Textured Lives is the story of my interior textile designer journey spanning 30 years. Before launching my interior textile brand, I learnt my craft by working for three decades as an interior textile designer. My experience has led me to start a new chapter with my own company called Textured Lives. I’ve curated a complete collection of interior products that celebrates an effortless, calm and comfortable environment. Having overcome personal and professional challenges, I am immensely proud to present a collection of stylish textiles for your home. I hope that the Textured Lives range reflects the passion that has driven me to continue with the project.
I wanted to create a lifestyle experience that brought together beautiful homeware products and my range of personally designed interior fabrics and textiles. My dream is to empower customers to curate their own beautiful spaces. I aim to reassure them that whatever they choose has been personally and consciously selected or designed. Respect for individuality is of paramount importance to Textured Lives, so nothing is mass produced, and we celebrate organic, not prescriptive.

After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1990, I worked hard to build a successful career in the textile industry. I designed wallpaper, fabric and bedding for the world marketplace. In 2000 I became the Design Director for the leading curtain manufacturer and retailer in the UK. This wealth of experience has formed the foundation for Textured Lives.
I wanted textiles to be so much more than just an off the shelf solution. I’m proud that Textured Lives is a collection of carefully curated objects and materials that evoke emotion and engage the senses. My vision is to help customers quickly achieve a stylish yet comfortable personal space. It is important to respect both elements in equal measure by empowering them to have the confidence to build on their existing canvas or be bold and create an entirely new look.
Outside of work, I keep myself on the right side of relaxed by walking in the lovely local woodland with my gorgeous whippet, Hendricks or by taking a hot yoga class. Most weekends are spent cooking for a house full of friends and family – it is food for the soul!
The absolute green shoot to any design business is the creative process that starts with our design team. Creating inspirational storyboards of endless unique ideas and designs leads to someone’s favourite throw, rug or bedding. We produce all our designs exclusively in Chester in the UK. Without the design concepts, the ideas and the gorgeous colour palettes our studio produces, we don’t have a business!
